On Friday, October 19, noted arranger and producer, Fred Barton,  is bringing the music of Broadway and the American Songbook showmanship to the Schimmel stage. The legendary Harold Arlen won the world over for his score to The Wizard of Oz, and was the composer of countless Broadway and Hollywood songs that will be brought to life backed by a full 12-piece orchestra and stars of the Broadway stage. Featuring the Fred Barton Orchestra and including an appearance by two-time Tony Award nominee Vivian Reed (Bubbling Brown Sugar, Marie Christine) this evening will include iconic songs  including Get Happy, Come Rain or Come Shine, and Stormy Weather. Others making appearances during the evening are Broadway stars Luba Mason (Chicago, Jekyll & Hyde, Capeman, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying), Anastasia Barzee (City of Angels, Miss Saigon, Jekyll & Hyde), Jen Cody (Urinetown, Grease), Stephen Bogardus (Man of Lamancha, Love, Valour, Compassion, City of Angels), and Damon Kirsche (Encores' Ziegfeld Follies of 1936, On a Clear Day You Can See Forever).
