Luba Mason has made a name for herself on the show tune circuit, having scored big in "Sunset Blvd,", "How to Succeed In Business..." and "Chicago." On this disc, she and her top flight band of Jimmy Haslip/b, Renato Neto/p, Marco Costa/dr, sandro Albert/g, and Cassio Duarte/perc delve into the sounds of Brazil with some breezy originals and a couple of covers. Her sweet and wispy voice is endearing on the buoyant title track and "A Summer Night", which features excellent work by Neto. Husband Ruben Blades joins in on a soothing "E Com Esse Que Eu Vou", while Hubie Laws adds cirrus sounds on the joyful "My House." Light and bright, this disc is a cheerful bon bon of sweet samba.
